Head of creative – Richard Babington

After a degree in Lighting design Richard has spent 15 years working in tech, design and artistic direction for some of the biggest events in the industry. Working with companies like Walk the Plank, Macnas, Punchdrunk, and on shows like Dr Who, for bands like Coldplay and events like Glastonbury and Capital of culture openings, Richards work has taken him all over the world, He is passionate about both art and science and is excited to see where Axolotl takes this.

Head of technical – Chris Ball

Chris Ball is a creative technologist, who has worked with artists and companies on numerous technical projects. He specialises in physical and electronic prototyping. Chris leads Axolotls Tech department ensuring all the amazing pieces that are created are at the cutting edge of entertainment technology.

Head of construction – George Babington

Georges experience crosses theatrical scenic arts, outdoor arts, pyrotechnics and sculputre. Having built all number of mad things for some of the biggest outdoor arts companies in the UK he then co-founded Axolotl with Chris and Richard. George heads up Axolotls construction department aswell as playing a major role in the digital visualisation creation and our advanced technical drawings.
